Click/click-through rate
A click engagement rate, commonly calculated as unique recipients who clicked at least one link divided by recipients who received/delivered the message.
Click Rate
The percentage of delivered emails where recipients clicked at least one link (often measured as unique clicks ÷ delivered).
Click-Through Rate (CTR)
The ratio of unique clicks to the total delivered emails (or recipients), expressed as a percentage. Measures direct link engagement.
Click-to-Open Rate (CTOR)
Unique clicks divided by unique opens, expressed as a percentage. Less reliable when open tracking is inflated (e.g., Apple MPP).
Click tracking domain
A domain used to track clicks by rewriting links to redirect through a tracking host; can be shared (ESP-owned) or custom (sender-owned).
Clipping
When an email client shows only the top portion of a long email and requires an extra click to view the rest (commonly Gmail), which can affect tracking and UX.
